Reframed started as a personal project that rewrites reality with fictional narratives. Later, it evolved into a collaborative effort that received contributions from other creatives – writing by Lyone Sng (@lyones.den) and photography by Manuel HQ. It was published in 2018 and is remains live on Instagram (@re.framed).
In this series, 15 unaltered photographs are captioned with probable retellings of the scene. Besides entertaining the reader, the line between reality and the imaginal world is blurred, thereby highlighting reality’s subjectivity and the potence of social media’s frame and commentary. It entices readers to renew their focus on its subject(s) to uncover the objective truth.
