Artist’s comments

We shared the trail with a middle-aged couple and their boisterous trio. While the parents took their time, the boys playfully raced and jostled ahead, their voices echoing down from the upper levels of the trail as their seated parents glanced up, bemused at the rivalry and youthful energy. In that moment, I recalled sharing a joke about how having children was a transfer of vitality. Just as much, I thought about mine, my parents and theirs, and the dynamics that tie us siblings as we journey through life together.
